We`re discussing downsizing our towcar and Ive spotted the above now being offered.

Has anyone used or even seen one as yet?

Would appreciate any help on the above please.

I have sat in a jeep patriot and its very basic with lots of plastic which looks cheap. The exterior is also very basic looking. You can add lots of extras both internaly and externaly but this kind of defeats the purpose as it makes a hefty increase in the overall cost.I will be interested what others have to say.In my opinion there are lots of better looking 4x4 on the market.

I took a test drive in the new Jeep Patriot unfortunately there was so little fuel in the demo vehicle and the salesman was not authorised to buy fuel that the test drive was limited to 1 (yes 1)mile!!! Apparently it has VW diesel engine and I would have been trading in my 4 year old Passat as the clutch was going for the second time!.In the end I decided on the new Honda CRV which is excellent - although have not towed with it yet.

There's one doing the rounds in my home town. They look quite good if you're into the Jeep look. It's a fair bit bigger than I was expecting, but apparently has a fairly low towing limit.

Well I`ve at last had a look at what my local dealer has on offer...hmmmmm

I take the point about the plastic finish but thats not a problem as my vehicles always seem to end up mud splattered inside and out so plastic reads as 'easyclean' to me. Size is just about right for what I need. The bassic model is just that.

Was shaken by the quote of a fitted towbar tho (

hello william,

As I had my non Honda towbar fitted by an outside company, as soon as I read your email I checked the cable entry into the car. It was all done correctly and sealed properly - I'm glad to say! The firm that fitted mine were recommended by the Honda dealer, and they told me that when the two local Honda dealers sold cars with 'Honda badged' towbars, they did the fitting. If I had got the dealer to have the towbar fitted it would have cost around
