We're at Kingsbury Water Park C&CC site this weekend Emmerson, If your passing by, pass by ! LoL.emmerson said:I know I'm a cynical old buffer, but i would say that anyone looking round a modern caravan site in the evening would think us a miserable anti-social bunch, with the caravan blinds down and the telly on, and woe betide anyone who has the temerity to suggest a social drink OUTSIDE!

As a grumpy old git I couldn't care less.
I arrive in my dirty trousers, t shirt and trainers or wellies ready to pitch up and erect the awning.
Then all dirty and muddy I withdraw to the site facilities and make good use of all the designer stuff behind![]()
Like Craig I spent 30 mins at Ullapool helping an elderly couple get their sky sat working.
Caravanning is about real people , not snobs I hope![]()
Wish I could Outdoors, but we're temporarily grounded! Kingsbury is one of fave sites. We should have been there two weeks ago.outdoors said:We're at Kingsbury Water Park C&CC site this weekend Emmerson, If your passing by, pass by ! Happy caravanning.
On the serious side, we have been caravanning some 35 yrs, been fortunate enough to have moved on from glass windowed caravan days ( when people would help others with awnings and offer a cuppa when arriving ) to owning several new caravans and I'm sure that nowadays people have gone into their shells and don't even offer pleasantry's on site.
