Hello Grambo, welcome to the site and sites!!!!! We had a large continental tent when our children were small.Lots of good times were had. Most week -ends we were off.I am sur you will enjoy your caravan and add to the happy memories you alreadt have. Not really moving up just moving over a bit as the sunshines, rainfalls and the views are just as good in a tent as in a caravan. Well maybe the rain is a bit less of a problem.
Happy times ahead!!!

Hi Grambo, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum and congratulations on your upgrade from tenting, I bet that you're brilliant at putting up the awning!

I used to love tent camping as a youngster but I'd never cope with it now after being spoiled as a caravanner for the past twelve years.
Tell us a bit about your outfit, any trips that you may have in the pipeline and of course if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

I started with a Blacks of Greenock ridge tent followed by a NR Nimrod traieler tent. Now it's caravans all the way with all the comfort of home.
Got any trips planned?

Hi, Yes, decided to move over to caravens during easter break. Went to isle of White and stayed in a static. Hummed and Ha'd about moveing up to caravans.
Went back to work and said what a lovely time i had and that i was unsure of caravans. Every one said "Don't be daft----Get a caravan"
Wife was unsure and she did the same at work and guess what..................same reply off here work friends.
Finally bumped into a old work associate of the wifes, and you've guest it....
Looked around caravans not knowing what arrangements to go for, finally deciding that we wanted spance to move around in bad weather so went for a Coachman Mavara 2006.
As for the vies etc. they are nice but even nicer when you don't need to spend a hour and half putting up our tent + all that goes with it.
PS we owen a SprayWay Ravin 6+2 (8m x 5m) with all the extra's the car is full, but now the car is empty and we are more comfortable

There shouldn't be a problem with Firefox which usually works well with this forum.
Do you have to fill in a 'captcha' affirmation box before you can post on the forum Grambo?

Thanks, have started to look more closely at my settings, because of my children going on computer the security settings are all set at max with only allowing minimal in. Have put practical caravaning in to allow section both on firefox and windows explorer. Hope this will work.
Many thanks
