just starting

We are new to caravaning therefore new to the magazine

.

We have a Peugeot 307 110 HDI and plan to tow a Swift challenger 1995 4 berth model with end washroom, my questions are what size awning do we need and i also note from this months magazine top 100 sites that electricty is supplied in 10amps and 16amps apart from 6 amps what is the differance and will it have an effect on whether we can hook up or not.

Also what is the maximum wattage of electrical goods we can run within the van, i have hundreds more questions but i am sure we will have more fun finding out as we go along.

Many thanks

Hi I am new here too But know a little about electricity as i,m an electrician

A ten amp supply will let you run things up to a total of 2400 watts

16 amp will supply a total of 3800 watts

Most of your appliences will have the watts on the rating plate on the back.

if you exceed the limits you make cause the circuit breaker that feeds your van to trip.

Hope this is of some help Any other questions just ask and I am sure someone in here will have an answer
