Any one got one of these ?
I have. Ultimately,a really good pump , Its just a bit awkward to fire up . You plug it in , press the button and then always have to set the pressure limit again ,then the fun starts .... press on/off button again ,goes off ... press again , and again ,I think ..... it then fires up and inflates the awning ..... Perfect ... Its just every time I use it . it appears to me to have this" try it button" scenario that you keep having to press . It then decides for itself when it will kick in . Can anyone explain what happens and why (I think) 3 presses on on/off button to start .

Martincf3 -- I've got one just like that, can't figure out how it should be operated but eventually get there and gey inflated!. Ps 'Destructions' are about as much use as the ones for mashing tea in chocolate teapots!

What power source are you using?
They need a healthy battery to work.
Had a few issues here . Let me start by saying I can use caravan power socket inside on aerial panel , battery box socket small ,ride on lawn mower battery ( Used on a Caterham and Formula 3 car ) , a Mercedes sprinter battery and last a selection of 12volt 7ah batteries , last time out I took the 2 7ah batteries wired up in parallel. but opted to use leisure battery box socket . I did have a problem with cig lighter adapter wire gauge, I had to solder some heavier gauge wire in the plug , kampa have a 16 amp fuse in the socket so probably run at about 10 amps . At home I picked up the lawn mower battery its light weight made it battery of choice but checked standing voltage 12.3 and it showed when I used the pump .Still the 390 pro air went up but a bit slow and I stopped it at about 9.5 psi . last week it wizzed it up to 11psi no problem and created a bit of interest on the site .

as you rightly said .They need a healthy battery to work

I didn't think I was trying to sell the pump or advertising ! Just trying to get an explanation over pump operation ,which others have obviously found a similar puzzle . Can you tell me anymore ? and I will ask Parksy for your E-mail address . Regards Martin

Martin Sorry about that It would have been me selling and advertising not you but I may have misunderstood your post. Now My Kampa pump is the original one when Kampa first brought them out now I tried to understand the instructions as you and Gabsgrandad have so I rang Kampa to find out exactly what these chinese instructions meant. As I said mine is the yellow pump and what Kampa say is to turn the air setting as high as it will go and let the pump do the rest when the pressure in the tubes reaches their maximum the pump will cut out. .I could only presume that the one you have is much the same I hope this will help in some way. Please dont worry about contacting Parksy as I have already goofed once tonight on here ..

Connect mine up to the socket in the boot of the 'Freelander'. Battery good enough to start the car reliably, you would think it would be enough to run the pump!

VW tiguan also has power socket in boot . But I'm a lazy git and like to walk the least distance to power up ... I would have to get in the car , and move it .

Thanks for all that .... Kampa don't supply that one any more ,or is not available . The new Breeze is all digital , Quite pretty really and a nice colour . It would appear that once the pressures set after showing residual psi . I set the - sign because it goes to zero and then carries on to 11 psi its quicker going that way , Back to the plot , You then switch it off ,then back on again to confirm ,I think and then do it all again and then it starts . I might do what you say and give them a ring to clarify what goes on
