kia carens vs 307sw

Please I am in need of all your expertise and guidance. I recently changed tow cars from the Kia Carens 1.8 petrol to the 307sw90 Tubro D. My main reason is the need for more seats as the 307 is a seven seater, more babies on the way!!! However I am starting to worry about the 307 ability to tow. HAve tried a towsafe match and that seems fine but would be greatfull if you all could cast your experience over the two cars statisics and give me your opions. We have booked our summer vacation in the south of france and I want to make sure the cars up to the job.

MAX TORQUE - 120(lb)@4900

KERB WEIGHT - 1462kg

The 307 seems to have more power going up hills solo but I have not towed with it yet. Our caravan is an ABI Pappion 490/5 2001 and its MPLW is 1200 kg. Any help or comments would be welcomed, thanks in advanced.
