We had one. Pros: bags of kerb weight and power. Loads of room inside. Handled well. Cons: mpg not great, foot operated "hand brake" a pain, big and cumbersome when parking when not towing. We swapped for a sante Fe which is a nicer ride all round, has better mpg and a better grip.

hope this helps

I have been touring with a Kia Sedona diesel for 14 months now and it is the best vehicle that I have towed with. You cannot tell that you have anything behind you. It is not the best car to drive solo, I cannot throw it round roundabouts like I could with my Peugeot 407 estate, but it is like sitting in an armchair when driving. It is not the most economical car, approx. 25 mpg solo or towing.

We've been towing with a Sedona TS auto for about 2 years now and love it.

Brilliant to load with awnings, water containers etc., bags of room, great for loading roof bars with electric rear doors, and a really relaxed joy to tow with, no issues personally with the parking brake.

The auto is effortless and great for manoeuvrering the caravan on site.

Must admit the m.p.g. is a bit on the low side especially the auto (would really fancy the new 2.2, but finances not avaialble at the moment).

We've actually just bought an (54 reg) older Fiat 1.3 Panda diesel to alleviate this at 55-60 m.p.g. around town it's perfect and

One of our Royale Club members has an 06 Sedona, which I like very much, except that the owner gets a bit fed up of me having to tow him onto wet sites with my Range Rover. Shame it's only available with front wheel drive, cos its otherwise a very good car.

I have an 06 Sedona 2.9 automatic. Purchased it last March after I purchased a new Coachman. I love towing with the Sedona. You can also have as many seats in the back as you like. I normally only have 3 seats in and the rest to carry the awning and my fishing gear.

The downside is the

Have had an 02 2.9 DieselSedona for 7 years and have been very pleased with it. Whilst it is not particularly economical for urban driving solo it represented a major improvement on the elderly Frontera Petrol that we had before it. As I only engaged 4 wheel drive twice in the Frontera in 5 years of ownership I did not feel it worth the worse fuel consumption of continuing with a 4WD vehicle.

As already mentioned by Taff the amount of room available by removing some of the seats makes it a lot easier to deal with items such as awning and despite all the sarcastic comments by the children when we bought it they all like to treat dad & Sedona like a man with a van when moving furniture etc.

It certainly makes light work of towing our Bailey Senator Arizona.

Thanks for all your comments I have decided to give the Sedona a miss on the fuel consumption.
