They were mentioned extensively on that boring video about bodyshell cracks on a couples motorhome. However I did glean that they are in Nottingham šŸ˜±

They still have the Nottingham branch but the Chesterfield one's closing and losing the Adria side of the business. It's a shame as they were the closest Adria dealer to us, but on the bright side it's stopped me spending money.

I wonder if their post covid expansion into Chesterfield to meet the then increasing caravan market has now turned a corner? Are we on the brink of a serious downturn in the caravan industry? May explain why some manufacturers are not increasing their prices for 2024?

Purchases such as caravans, motor homes etc arenā€™t essential when finances become tight. The Forum has oft discussed a potential downturn of the market when the ā€œ post covid bubbleā€ burst. As well as tight finances there will also be those who purchased a leisure vehicle and donā€™t like the experience. Their vehicles may be coming onto the market too.

On the other hand, (and I have no idea). It may be like a local dealer who has been in business for 40-plus years and still going. They seemed to lose their Bailey franchise so they ā€˜appearedā€™ to be in difficulty. In reality, Bailey took the franchise away because the dealer refused to become a sole dealer. But they kept their service department for Baileys, with Bailey's blessing.

Kimberley near J26 of the M1 and Chesterfield J29/30 of the M1 are not that far from each other in an area where there are a few other big dealers ( Robinsons, Don Amott Lowdams) The costs of running two sites rather than expanding one might have been a factor?

Their place in Chesterfield - Holbeck Close - is right alongside the River Rother the flooding of which last week in another part of the town damaged about 40 (or was it 60?) homes. Could this be anything to do with it?
For anyone who knows the area Holbeck Close is the road that forks off Brimington Road by the old Parsons TV workshop and just down the road from the old County Police Station and (Coroners?) Courthouse.

Reading the article on his in the magazine it seems to have been a commercial decision. to be in a magazine it must have been decided well before the recent floods.
