Knaus handbook

Hi - I recently bought a very clean 1995 Knaus Sudwind, lightweight 5 berth - - without any manuals. I have downloaded manuals for the Truma heater and Electrolux fridge, but I cannot source one for the van itself. I need to know how the 'internal' electrics work - it does not have a 'second' socket to the car.

It does have 230V mains, working OK - but the shower and water for the sink are worked by two 6v dry cell 'lantern' batteries (the kind with the springs on the top for terminals) which are mounted in a proper box incorporating circuit to link them for 12v supply.

Also, the water heater only heats the shower water, but not water to the 'kitchen' sink - odd?

If anyone can loan me a manual I can copy it on our huge Xerox and promise to post it back asap!

for a 2004 van-they may not go back as far as 1995, but worth an e-mail.

Thanks, but I've already tries Knaus and their UK agents - my only hope seems to be a privateer. After our first 'trial' last weekend at least we know all the 230v lamps and sockets work - and the fridge (can't get the fridge or heater fired up on gas though - and I need to know more about the peculiar 12v-only system for water. the water for the shower room and 'kitchen' sink is pumped via a 12v dry-cell battery, The shower water is heated by a 230v heater and the 'kitchen' sink has a cold supply only! There appears to be no other wiring or tubing. There is no provision for 12v supply from the car, or any sign of a connector to a 12v Leisure Battery.
