My Kojack lite is less than 2 years old and has seen very little use. It is now leaking oil round both lift pistons. Has anyone ever replaced the seals on these? If so where did you get replacements and how difficult a job was it? Is it worth doing or do I scrap the jack annd get a (non purpleline) replacement?

Very annoying. Before fighting with seals etc. suggest you look at www.toolstation.co.uk and/or www.screwfix.com and i think you will find two-ton bottle jacks. Toolstation delver free for orders over £10 while Screwfix deliver free for orders over £50. I've had bottle jack from Toolstation and trolley jack from Screwfix for some years and both have been fine. You need to make sure the venting screw (for lowering the jack) is screwed fully home after use and ideally keep the bottle jack upright.
 
Oh dear! I've not long purchased one! Oh well at least I got it at a rock bottom price. BPW are still telling people to buy them though as I did! I must say the thought of the leaking seals did go through my mind before I purchased it but seeing as I just sold my Alko sissor jack (thinking it would'nt fit on the BPW chassis - doh!) I had no other alternative🙁.

I seem to remember though that they have a 2 year warranty anyway?
 
I think there may be some confusion here. The version that is no longer sold was a hydraulic sissor jack and the current version is a hydraulic bottle jack.
I've not had any problems with the bottle jack version so far but I do keep an eye open for leaks just in case. It works well and is handy on a TA for aligning the receivers for the Alko locks without having to move the cvaravan. I'm not sure some of the standard bottle jacks would fit if a puncture occured and the chassis brackets are meaty beasts to prevent any damage to chassis or running gear.
 
I have a Kojack hydraulic scissor jack. I have had it 3 years now and it has been used dozens of times to lift van to fit Bulldog max at home, (limited space to align receiver by moving van) also been used on son in laws gritting trailer, and that’s heavy. As far as I’m concerned a superb piece of kit – no problems whatsoever.
PS used to carry a pillar jack in my early days of caravanning (30 years ago) but they are a pain in the ”jacksy” when at the side of the road to change a wheel. I also have a trolley jack but it is not as handy as the kojack, which is a straight lift, trolley jacks are of course radiused lifts, and if you can’t have the van attached to the car for the lift then van or jack movement can happen.

That is essentially what happened with mine. Purpleline are sending me a set of seals - but they have no instructions to go with them! I think I might look elsewhere for a suitable replacement and just use the Kojack jacking brackets.
I suppose I could always re-fit the Alko side-lift jack......
