We have booked 3 pitches at this site for August next year. It looks good on the brochure but has anyone been there. We are 5 adults and 4 children.

Thanks

hi pat

we had a couple of nights there in the summer. we were really looking forward to it, because there was so much to do.

we were, however a wee bit disappointed with it, nothing much i can put my finger on. didn't find the staff particularly friendly, wasn't very personal like the smaller sites.

the kids went to the swimming pool which had 3 seats to sit on round the side.

i wish i could be more specific & i don't feel i have been much help. the area is lovely though. if you are eating out there is a lovely pub a 5 minute drive called the sunburnt arms.

i usually check the caravan site finder but this site was not on it. hope you have a great time though.

it used to be a lovely site but has got much bigger and more impersonal.During the main weeks the toilets and showers can get disgusting, poo on walls etc due to the moronic element.

despite the cleaners valiant efforts.Outside the school weeks it is much quieter and more to our taste. The relations all go there and bro in law has storage on there,we try to stay on small site near there, sadly imho it is a victim of its own success bigger is not always better. However lots to do for kids two pools, club play areas chip shop etc and lovely Dawlish and the Warren.HTH

Hi Pat,

Peppermint caravan Park in Dawlish Warren is probably a better park also its only about 5 minutes walk from the beach. There is entertainment there ,have a look at the park through the internet.jimbob

hi there,

we went a couple of years ago and we loved it. It's a great site. plentty of things to do for families and couples. take-away, small shop, bar/clubhouse, separate play area for the kids away from the vans and a dog walk. The pitches were quite big for such a big site and the wash blocks are ok. You can walk to Dawlish Warren via a hilly footpath. Other than that you'd need the car for anywhere else, but who cares. We enjoyed our stay.

Terrible don`t go, we went for 1 week 2 years ago and the place is infested with ants, the clubhouse is very poor as you cant get anywhere near the entertainment as its too small most staff were foreign at the time, the pools are good, but don`t believe everything you see in the brouchure the site is next to an industrial estate as you drive in, i would not return but everyone has different expectations , i travelled from Wales to go there and it ruined my holiday.

ross park is supposed to be lovely. it gets lots of awards.

theres hillhead cc site i stayed there for 3 weeks in the summer. pitches are quite hard to get on, theres a play area but you do get teenagers hanging around later on at night. theres entertainment and a lovely pool. the food is nice and you can eat in or take away. there also a shop and an arcade. brixham is beautiful and has a harbour, dartmouth is to die for you have to get the ferry in the car it cost

ive just been on www.ukcampsite.co.uk to check out the reviews and it says ladys mile doesnt want any reviews on there.

i wonder why?.

it takes 450 pitches times that by 4 people per unit roughly omg thats 1800 people to share the facilities with. i wouldnt go that would be to busy for me.
