They claim that its because they have a lull in production of certain models at certain times of the year and the 200 that have moved over are some kind of mobile workforce that frequently make this kind of transition.
I do think though that some of it is down to lower interest in 4x4s. When I was buying my Freelander 2 in March the sales rep all but said they could not shift the Range Rover Sport any longer , people had gone of it big style.
Range Rovers and FL2 were selling like hot cakes and in fact if I'd have wanted to order a new FL2 there was a July delivery date at that time (i.e over 3 months wait).
