I'll be honest, i've never been but have driven past it a few times so my views may be wrong.
Having seen the website it does seem a bit pricey, especially if more than 2 of you go. Although the area is a lovely part of the country there's not much to do within walking distance but if it's peace and quiet you are after then it's ideal.
The Settle-Carlisle railway is quite an interesting place to visit(i'd say that working there for network rail), White Scar Caves is a good day out and so is ingleton falls.
If it's nice then a lovely drive up the B6479 is in order and visit Horton-in-ribblesdale Hawes Garsdale and of course the fantastic Ribblehead Viaduct, and if you're lucky you'll get to see a steamer.
There are some lovely places to eat but as it's north yorkshire/cumbria it is a little pricier than it should be, but the people are friendly, it's a lovely place and well worth a visit.
