laptop computer used in caravan

does anybody use a laptop computer in their caravan to pickup t.v and if so, can you use it in france. i have seen an advert on ebay that you can receive sky digital without subsciption is this possible?

I've used my laptop as a TV with a kit you plug into your usb port, When I worked away from home as a hgv driver!

I wouldn't bother, even with a booster connected to the Ariel the picture was poor & sound quality not much better!

I've gone back to a portable TV

I use a laptop with a external tv tuner and connect it to my Digibox (this is still be required), only problem I've found is the amount of wires needed Laptop power, Laptop to tv tuner, tv tuner to digibox then finally digibox to dish. Saying that it's a doddle to setup and the picture is crystal clear. Found the 60cm Sky dish (apparently the further north you go the bigger the dish you need) and tripod on Ebay for
