A quick search on t'internet gives this info (not sure of whicjh yeaer the van is though)

Bhp @ rpm: 71/4300

Lb/ft @ rpm: 107/2300

Gross Vehicle Weight(Kg): 2425

Kerb Weight(Kg): 1470

Towing Limit(Kg): 1500

hopefully someone will be able to advise on the vans ability on an incline.

Not sure of the weight of your caravan but is is apparently a 'light caravan' - Your LDV according to the specs will pull my Bailey Burgundy Pageant, and I suspect the caravan you have will be lighter than that

Hi, Don't know if it helps,I have a customer with a 2000 V plate LDV cub.

She has 4 cages fitted in it for her show dogs and some sort of mobile bathing apperatus.

I fitted a towbar for her two years ago,she first towed a Elldis Wisp 4 berth, said it towed great, even fully loaded.

She still has the van and also now a series 5 Pagent Burgundy? I think.

I am told it tows well, very steady if sometimes a bit lethargig on longer hills. Says she can do Hampshire to Cumbria @ 320 miles on a full tank with some juice left in reserve.

Hope this is a bit of help.

Hello caravanner,

Your answer is rather abrupt, and as far as I know not universally true.

Please elaborate, define why you cant tow with a van.

We bought LDV Vans for business use and they were a disaster.

LDV as a company have been in turmoil for years and their future is still unclear and spares could be a problem, plus you'll probably need them! Don't think of leaving UK with an LDV as european dealer network is due and far between & in Italy none at all!

Son of a friend got his LDV to Italy on a camping trip and 4 years later it is still there as the RAC cover, didn't!
