We are travelling to Le havre in April 2005 and arriving at 10:00pm. are there any sites close by to spend the night or/and is there a place to stay overnight on the port?
hi john there is a large car park where you will find plenty of vans for the night its just out side the terminal or go round to honfleur just over the bridge point de normandy and ther is a stop over with water etc 7e per night you need the right money its a meter we have used it sevral times all the best happy hols
Another option would be the municipal site - Foret de Montgeon in Le Havre which is about a 10 minute drive from the port. Not the best of site but certainly adequate for a stopover.
We have used this route a few times. We book through the Caravan Club and have always booked an overnight stop at Pont Audemer about 45 mins away. As the site has been prebooked the site manager keeps the site open until you arrive and helps you to your pitch. You can then get a good peaceful nights sleep!
