Le Littoral - Vendee

Has anyone been to the Le littoral site in the vendee, if so any comments, such as how far is the nearest beach and town etc,

We stayed there last year and loved it. Beach is 2 minutes, but is rocky. Great for kids though "best rock pooling ever" was the feedback. Les Sables D'Olonnes is about 10 minutes away in the car, and there is a Hypermarket 10 minutes away.Great sandy beach is about 2 miles away, with great body surfing. Is supervised very well, by Le Baywatch. Any questions, just ask.

Thanks for the reply, what is the site like? cleanliness, size of pitches, would you recommend we ask for pitches in a certain area, there will be three families in all.

There are two areas. The area amongst trees (closest to the beach) is mainly geared towards statics with the touring pitches fitting in between. Access can be difficult for caravans in this area, with pine trees strategically placed for max awkwardness! This area does have more character though. The area to the left of the main access road as you drive in, which is behind and beyond the swimming pool is a lot more open, has bigger pitches and is better designed for touring. If you are looking to stay with friends, this will be better. The site itself is very clean, and has approx 500 pitches (inc statics). The toilets and showers are cleaned very regularly.
