Hi guys. Apologies for the long post but at my witts end here with the dealership and my 2021 Bailey alicanto grande faro. Purchased from the dealership in June 2022 when only six months old as I specifically wanted this model. Paid my £31,000 then after a couple of weeks had a small leak on the front offside small window so had the seal replaced under warranty. Just assuming it's a teething issue drove the five hour round trip, £130 fuel cost and loss of work as self employed to hopefully rectify. Told all sorted and collect when ready. Next downpour and leaking terribly, worse than the previous leak. Kept under cover and then took for its annual service and yet again seal replaced. All ok until the following downpour and the opposite front nearside small window started leaking. I'll cut to the chase and seven wasted five hour warranty attempts later and either one side or the other leaks. If they are Bailey authorised technician's shouldn't this be easy to resolve? When I asked the dealership about compensation the reply was basically thats the downside of purchasing a caravan so far from home and a £50 discount would be discounted on my next service. I'm looking at going down the legal route but unsure where I stand as it's only covered by the dealership personal three year warranty as I'm the second owner. Any ideas/advice gratefully appreciated

Sorry I can't help you on the warranty/legal side of your problem but I'm wondering if you can detect from where the water is entering, there can be a multitude of points of causes.Sometimes a visual check may find it..one cause could be the window and window seal not seating correctly..to see if this is the case a strip of paper 50mm(2inch) wide should be insert between window and seal, the window then closed and latched..if you try to pull the paper out it should remain trapped..try this around the entire window to check sufficient tension between window and it's seal...I hope you find a solution to your problem.,, Gary

Thanks Gary, I'll certainly try that. I honestly cant see where the water is leaking in. As stated the bailey approved dealer has replaced both window seals and couple of times and im still having problems. For a big company based in Atherstone in Warwickshire it's really getting beyond a joke now, especially as in its last eight months or so of the three year warranty. Many thanks, Mark

The window seals come in very large ro. They get cut to size by the engineer or me if I do my own. The seal contains an adhesive water proof sealant that reacts once the cover paper is removed and the seal stapled and pressed into position. .
I suspect the dealer didn’t fully clean the exposed body surface before installing the seal. There have also been faulty batches of window seals where the sealant didn’t work.

Most caravan warranties will exclude the gist of transporting the caravan to the dealer.

CRA 2015 may support a claim for transport. Have a chat with Which ?Legal.
There are some on here who know about successful CRA claims. Maybe one will post soon

Thanks so much Dusty, really appreciated. You may have a point here as the work done did look a bit shoddy to say the least on the first three visits. I'll attach a photo and see what you think

Do Gary’s test. You need to establish the route of the ingress
