Leaking Mixer tap - washer help

Hi all, I’ve replaced the cartridge on our mixer tap after it was leaking. When I extracted the cartridge some tiny bits of white plastic came off the washer between the cartridge and the sliver screw on cap below the tap handle. I’ve put it all back together as I removed it but there just isn’t enough downward pressure to hold the cartridge in place when I draw water. Any ideas what I need to get please?

Looking at your helpful photos in the last one the new cartridge doesn’t appear to sit level. Having just replaced one myself it took a bit of wiggling to get the two lugs on the cartridge into the locator holes in the base. Once the cartridge is in place you should be able to refit the retaining ring and tap head. Mine is a pressure system and has no wires. Hope it works as always difficult to be precise from a distance!

👍👍Could be that, although I thought I’d had it level and even then it just wasn’t doing the job with the tap on.
