leaking tap

hi, we have ayear 2000 elddis crown 352 se which has developed a leak from the kitchen mixer tap.

i have made sure that all push fittings are ok, and tracked the leak down to the mixer unit itself.

it is'nt a cascading torrent of water, rather a slowish drip.

it is the micro switch type tap.

has anyone got any advice on how to repair the unit, or have we got to bite the bullet and buy a whole new tap?

any advice will be great, as we are due to go away with the van soon.

thanks, paul.

take tap apart, inside are two rubber quad rings. take them to your local engineering man. google for bearings/transmissions etc, anyone who has a micrometer and can supply oil seals/o rings/quad rings. should be no more than a pound each. use soap or olive oil to reassembly, make sure big brass inner coller is tight, but not tight enough to distort new rings, hand tight if you have good grip.dont know your exact tap so hard to give more detail, but this works. new tap mabey
