hi all,

really sorry if this has already been discussed but i really need some sound advise.

purchased bailey senator indiana series 6 couple of weeks ago from local dealer who part ex for our ace jubilee.

after the first couple of flushes the tiolet stopped working.

on investigation we found the wires corroded because the cassette had been leaking!!

The dealer has said that the floor of the van may need building up so to push the cassette home.

has anyone expirenced this before or has any practicalities regarding said toilet???

ps warrenty period still current on this van

thanks

pat

Hello Pat,

Yes, this has been mentioned on the forum before. Apparently, occasionally there is a small gap between the tank and the seal on the bottom of the toilet bowl. The common cure is to build up underneath the tank to lift it slightly so it then contacts the seal which will cure the problem. That's if this is where the problem lays!

Check the floor area around the base of the toilet inside the caravan - it's only sealed with mastic and any leaks in the toilet tank area can find their way past the mastic.

Hopefully you've bought from a good dealer who'll put everything right for you.

Tony

Hi Pat, yes our tiolet has had a plinth inserted by thr dcealer as it was a know problem. This was fitted on last service and has not been a problem since. It supports the foul water tank so when you use the flush it doesnt go into the sump of the unit. Hope this is of help Bazz.
