Leaky whale taps

Just back from our first outing this season and while away noticed that the whale mixer tap over the bathroom sink had developed a leak. The water is coming from base of the spout where it swivels. Has anyone had similar problems and is it repairable or do I need to replace it. Is it easy to replace?

It probably had some water left in it and has frozen and cracked. Replacements spouts are available from most dealers or can be found on e-bay.
