Les Tours - St Amans des Cots

Hi peeps

Well those of you who have not gone or have just come back of hols.

The above campsite, Has anyone any knowledge of the pitches ie:- size, sloping etc.

Looks a good site but limited photos available on pitches.

We visited Les Tours (Castels site) last year during June. As with all Castels sites we have visited, the standards of facilities etc. were excellent.

Nice area, lake views from some pitches, BUT, since you specifically asked about pitch size, I am guessing you have a longish outfit. I only have an average size 'van (20ft including A frame), and found access to some pitches extremely tight, but with manual assistance from our new Dutch neighbours managed to position it ok.. I would definitely not have been able to site anything much larger on the pitch, mainly due to pitch access, not necessarily pitch size.

The Dutch almost all seemed to have motor movers fitted, which made life easier for them.

Do not let me put you off though, because it is an excellent site, and if you can book in advance and reserve a suitable pitch I am sure you will enjoy it.

PS: adequate shade on most pitches from the same trees which hamper the access.
