As well as having a naff weekend on the CL that turned out to be on a rally field.........talk about adding insult to injury.
Driving along a country lane not much wider than the outfit and a car appeared from nowhere, side on. It was in the proceeds of backing off the drive of a large house into the lane. We slammed the brakes on and were relieved to judder to a halt without our cars colliding. We continued on our way only to find that the car had actually backed into the side of the caravan and left us with a bumper wide dent right along the side. Obviously with shuddering to a halt we had not realised the car had actually hit the van. Lesson learned, if something similar happens in the future we shall always get out and check for damage - you don't always feel it.
