Lights.

As some of you may know, Herself is confined to a wheelchair just now after an operation to replace her ankle joint. This means that I a very busy boy just now, what with being a housewife and nursemaid and chief cook and bottle-washer! (ah shame!) Aside from all that, I also have to walk the dog in the mornings, a task which Herself always does, as she enjoys being up in the forest before anyone else is about. I take a slightly different route to her regular one: mine involves walking about 500metres on the road.Which brings me to the point of this post (coo, don't he go on?) Has the law regarding headlights been changed or relaxed? I ask because in five minutes on the road this morning, I counted SIX cars out of seventeen with only one headlight, and a further three using fog lights as well as headlights.Aren't these things illegal any more!

You are right Emmerson but Mr Plod is only interested in speeding fines mainly ;-)

A young chap in one of my daughters offices did get fined for "Fogging" in November. He had his rear fog lights on, on the motorway in good weather blinding other motorists and an unmarked car pulled him.

I have noticed a lot of cars with only one headlight on, as well. When I take my son's girlfriend home we count the number of cars with defective lights. It's amazing how many there are.

As for the people who use their fog lights when it is dark and not foggy, they obviously don't realise how the light shines off the road and dazzels oncoming drivers. Just wish thesr lights would break on their cars.
