Lightweight chairs

We are looking to replace our current chairs which are recliners and together weigh over 8kg and bulky. We quite like the Lafuma Cham Air Comfort chair not recliner although it is bit pricy. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

We are also looking for these, but they also have to double as dining chairs.

We have ordered the Air Comfort chairs off Amazon and hopefully they are the price paid. We also save just about 2kg in weight and best of all they are not so bulky and we can do away with the cushions we use on our current chairs.

In "olden days", ie up until 10 years ago, virtually all caravans had rear windows and many outfits had acceptable "through-vision" - indeed going back further Swift's used to have specifically low front-rear windows to improve the through-vision with a cunning arrangement to lower the dinette tables so they didn't impede the view.

We have had two pairs of different models of Lafuma chairs and found them both well made and comfortable.

If you are going across the channel there is a Lafuma shop at the L’Usine de Cote Opal Shopping Centre, Cocquelles just west of Calais (formerly known as Marques Avenue) which is a bit like McArthur Glen in the UK with (usually) a minimum of 30% off. Lafuma are a bit cheaper in France anyway.

When we were away at Easter, we discovered that the local Aldi had aluminium reclining and dining chairs for sale. We duly bought 2 recliners and 3 diners, and they seem to be excellent. Whole lot cost about £60 and weigh very little! Bargain...
