Lily’s 1st week report.
Car travel…. Good once she has settled down ( we bought a bigger car travel seat for her)
Socialising:
With people very good, with other dogs a work in progress.
Seeing her own reflection…. Barks but not too much.
Chewing…. A work in progress.
Jeanette…. Definitely a work in progress 🤣🤣🤣
Toilet trained and only goes outside … woke me up at 4.18 am so I took her into the garden for a wee👍

Overall she has settled amazingly well and already has fan club in the village and when we are out we get stopped quite a lot and we encourage everyone to engage with her which she loves.
Big test next Friday when we take her away for a week in the caravan👍

We were adopted by a "rescue" Yorkshire terrier called Milo and who is 9 months old. His previous owner was out all day and the puppy was locked up in her front room as did all his business there. At present we are trying to break that habit with some success. Otherwise he is as good as gold and the first night he jumped up onto our bed and snuggled down for the night and stayed there all night.

We were quite apprehensive with the cat who is three times larger than him as it took us several nights for the cat and our other youngster Rory to adapt to one another. We were very pleasantly surprised when the cat did not even bat an eyelid and the two of them get on well together.

We are away to a cottage next month so that will be another trial and error period for us, but hopefully by then he is fully house trained. We are taking so blankets with us to cover the furniture in the cottage even though highly unlikely any of them will do anything on the furniture or bed.
