Anyone been to this site, thinking about a visit mid September with the kids. Is the touring pitches small? (have quite a large twin axle), can you walk into town? Area around nice? Never been to this area before so any info would be helpful. Thanks

Hi Audrey,

I would not ever go to Loch Sloy again. I strongly object to paying for entertainment and entry to the swimming pool whether I intend to use these facilities or not. I don't mind paying for each use.

The pitches are quite small and close together and some were prone to flooding even in fairly light rain.

On the plus side, and it is a big plus if you have children, is that there is a huge and beautiful beach adjacent to and accessed from the site.

It takes only a few minutes to walk into the town and the area around Nairn is worth exploring.

My own preference would be the Caravan Club site at Culloden, nearer Inverness, although there is no beach there - but it is not far to Nairn where you can get on the beach without going through the caravan site.

i agree with rob , dont like the site at all but nairn itself is good, the lossiemouth site up on that coast is good if you want the beach .
