Spoke to wardens at the site today , we are due to arrive this saturday, they asked us if I wanted to cancel because the condition of the site had deteriorated due to continued heavy rain over the last few days and more expected. We will still go because the chiildren will be devastated if we call of the holiday but just wondered of any one has been there over the last few days and what the problems are. wardens are siting caravans because grass is churning up and hard standings are not available , any one heard anything similar ?????

hi neil we went there but we went in may. the wardens are quite regimented. its a nice site some of the pitches you need levelling blocks. the pitches some are small in depth so if you have twin axel make sure you tell them. there is lots of grass pitches on this site.

i personally wouldnt go to this area again theres hardly anything for the kids to do apart from going in the pool. polperros nice but nothing else in the area. you will need you car for everything we clocked up alot of miles in a week.

if i had to choose another site to go to in cornwall i would say carnon downs and treamble valley you cant go wrong with either.

sorry neil im just bein truthful.

Hi - we went to looe site in April, yes the top section is all grass and slopping but I would imagine it will drain well but with the rain in cornwall for the last few weeks everywhere is a bit damp!!.

I disagree that there is nothing to do - and you dont need to drive at all if you dont want to as there is a bus stop a short walk away. For example we caught the bus to plymouth it was about
