Looking for a portable gas barbeque

Would be grateful for advice on the most affordable portable gas barbeque to carry in a caravan.

The van has an external gas point, so it's easy to plug in, but all the barbeques I can find on internet searches seem to be well over £100 - more than my budget.

I'd be happy with a decent second hand one, but nothing on ebay or Gumtree.
I need this by mid October if possible.

Thanks

Brissle , hi
Have a look on go outdoors.com or just Google CADAC barbecues, we have the Safari chef 2 , we've had that 4/5 years now great bit of kit, we use a bottle for this is but you could get along a bit of hose which you can put into your van but I would prefer to have a bottle away from the van not directly piped in , you can get that for less than £1oo.oo , start spending and cooking !!

Had one of this type many moons ago,and it lasted for many years, did the job.

Kunena thingy stops the ebay link from showing, £25.99 delivered in a tatty box :)

Try ebay, search for item number 5060057620205

A quick search on eBay brings up Cadac Safari Chef 2 from £35 on auction, or from £76 new.

Cadac global for £10 auction in Luton.

We had one of these when we camped, but it had lava rock on a lower grid which always proved messy.

Well, I totally missed those ebay ones when I looked a few days ago - but maybe I had put in the wrong search words.

Many thanks

Cadac Safari Chef is very good, packs away small into a bag and it fits into a cupboard, not much weight.

Yes Sir WC, mine also had the lava rock, I soon dumped the lava rock and lined the tray with tinfoil, it seemed to operate just as well without the lava rock if I remember correctly.

As you are exporting it to Kiwi Land, you must hammer home that a Cadac only needs cleaning once a year. In the UK that is in October after the warm season caravanning, in readiness for winter use.

So in Kiwi Land that will be April.

Keeping it not cleaned adds to the al fresco cooking experience. Dinner at night, breakfast the following morning and lunch if required. :p :p

We've got the in between Cadac Grillogas and on a recent holiday in Scotland we left it to smoke as a means of trying to deter the darned midges. But they were more than up to the challenge. I've had more successful barbecues in Ontario in winter!i

Looks excellent - I have my eye on two being advertised on ebay at the moment.
Thanks for all recommendations and photos.
Can't wait to swop our winter for their summer.........
