Loose toilet seat on Thetford C250cwe with ceramic bowl.

There is a service cover on the back of the ceramic bowl to allow access to the seat fixings, but I cannot work out how to remove it.

The parts diagram suggests that the cover has 4 lugs, but mine does not. It has a ledge across the width near the top which presumably hooks under a lip on the edge of the opening ceramic, but I'm unwilling to apply excess downwards pressure to release it or lever it outwards in case of damaging the ceramic.

Can anyone help, please?

Thanks, but I believe this discussion applies to the standard toilet with the plastic bowl as opposed to the ceramic one I have.
After another attempt, I found how easy it actually is!

There's a cover (described as a pod in the spares diagram) between the seat mounting lugs which simply lifts off, with a bit of upwards effort, to reveal the rather small mounting screws, which to me are inadequate for the job, as it is still fairly easy to move the seat with them as tight as they can go (this can be a problem in domestic toilets too! - and no I'm not an overweight individual!!)

I'll investigate alternatives in due course, (maybe a custom-made rubber spacer between bracket and ceramic) but for now I can live with it.

PS It seems that the service cover previously referred to is not intended solely for access to the seat fixings, as the seat has to be removed to remove it!
