Hi Guys I hope there is somebody out there that can help.

We have just bought a brand new Sterling Elite and no expence spared a new 110amp leisure battery to go with it.

After about five or six days the tracker tells me I have low battery power.

SEcond time this has happened ,first time we had left the TV amp on when leaving the van at storage thi stime we double checked everything and again in about 6 days its flat again am I missing something somewhere when parking up

Come on you Guys give Sir Rog a helping hand..

Hi Sir Roger,

We had exactly the same problem with our new Swift Challenger. I revisited our van in storage after leaving it for 1 month. The battery was flat at 3 volts. I attempted to coax it back to life but the battery was beyond help, it was brand new too. Anyway your charger unit is the same as mine, a Sargent. You need to switch off the unit with the on/off button, if not it will drain the battery. It is not that clear in the handbook, but Sargent did tell me this in an email contact. Hope this helps with your problem?

David . and Mikey many thanks for your replies I will check out both but will do the easy one first .

Sadly shmbo would not let me press the little on and off switch on the left of the Sargent box so that will be the next job

The salesman that sold us the van said no need to touch this box and switches at all , but have already proved that wrong

Regards Sir Roger
