lucky novice...

Hi I am really new to caravaning and have been lucky enough to pick up a 23 year old cavalier 1600t 6 bearth that had been locked away in a weather proof lock up and was maintanined during this time. The van is in real top conditiion and apart from new tyres I have had to do very little to it. I have added some more electrics etc to bring it upto todays standard.

I was looking for anyone that has any infromation on this van, I have searched the web but to no avail. I am looking for a spare wheel for the van and any other information anyone can give me about the cavalier brand.

I recently took it to a site and other caravers could not believe the condition of the van.

Any infromation is welcome..

Sean - before we can help in your quest for a wheel, what size is the existing tyre and wheel? Is the existing wheel a four or five stud fixing? What part of the country are you so that those more local to you may be able to help? Being armed with this information there could be someone who may be able to help.

Sean

Back in the Dark Ages there was a 'Cavalier Owner's Club'. Does the mag, or anybody know if it exists still? They could well help you.

Give the road wheels a really good clean and look for codes stamped on it such as "13 x 5J 19ET". In this example the 13 is the wheel diameter in inches, 5 is the rim width in inches, J is the rim profile (not directly relevant) and ET19 is 19mm offset. The number of studs and bolt pitch circle diameter (PCD) will also be needed.

The tyre size is 6.4/6.5 x 13, speaking to my local tyre amn, he has ordered 175 90 13inch van tyres to replace the old cross ply ones that were fitted, As for the wheel, I will take it to my loacl breakers yard and see if I can find a match..
