Best to ask your insurer. But purely speculating given that Lunar do not trade I guess they would base their offer on an alternative equivalent make, or a cash settlement. What’s the situation with Lunars,I have new for old insurance, will they provide a different make and model if it’s stolen or written off
Cheers Keith
Your policy will normally state what happens in the event of the model/item no longer being available - sometimes limited to last published list price - which makes new-for-old worthless for discontinued models given the high inflation in recent years. What’s the situation with Lunars,I have new for old insurance, will they provide a different make and model if it’s stolen or written off

I think new for old is also based on value of your caravan.I am very surprised that you have new for old cover on a Lunar as thought they went into administration about 5 or more years ago?
I have no idea, however that could be the original value. I was under the impression that "New for Old" was for caravans under 5 years old?I think new for old is also based on value of your caravan.
That will depend on the T&C of the specific policy involved....I was under the impression that "New for Old" was for caravans under 5 years old?
Caravan Club insurance gave New-for-Old automatically for caravans up to 5 years old and optionally, at extra cost, when they were older.I have no idea, however that could be the original value. I was under the impression that "New for Old" was for caravans under 5 years old?
I think both main clubs will give new for old Upto 15 years , at a very high cost.Caravan Club insurance gave New-for-Old automatically for caravans up to 5 years old and optionally, at extra cost, when they were older.
