Cheers Keith

Best to ask your insurer. But purely speculating given that Lunar do not trade I guess they would base their offer on an alternative equivalent make, or a cash settlement.

Your policy will normally state what happens in the event of the model/item no longer being available - sometimes limited to last published list price - which makes new-for-old worthless for discontinued models given the high inflation in recent years.

My caravan is no longer available so I had to nominate a similar layout from a different manufacturer upon which to base my insurance premium. Models change fairly regularly so your insurance company will be used to our situation.

I am very surprised that you have new for old cover on a Lunar as thought they went into administration about 5 or more years ago?

I have no idea, however that could be the original value. I was under the impression that "New for Old" was for caravans under 5 years old?
Caravan Club insurance gave New-for-Old automatically for caravans up to 5 years old and optionally, at extra cost, when they were older.

We have one, I always quote an alternative make and model which I feel is the nearest comparison so they have no comeback when they accept it.
