That’s me stuffed😢Driving back from Pont Kemys on the Saturday! The M4 will be closed in both directions between junctions 18 (Bath) to 19 (Bristol M32) from 7 pm on Friday 24 October until 6am Monday 27 October. It is the final stage of a new bridge being installed.
Happy travels ☹️
They open one road for you, only to close another. ☹️. Hope there is a sensible alternative route that is not full of motorway traffic. That’s me stuffed😢Driving back from Pont Kemys on the Saturday!
Plus north and south on the M4/M5 around Almondsbury too.I can see tailgates all the way back to Swindon or Newport depending which way you are travelling.
Nice to dream. 😂They open one road for you, only to close another. ☹️. Hope there is a sensible alternative route that is not full of motorway traffic.

Monmouth’s a nice place en route north to Air Ballon 😱That’s me stuffed😢Driving back from Pont Kemys on the Saturday!
I’ve suffered some extra long detours in Scotland when a trunk road has been closed. Large blocks of mountains don’t provide easy detours.Ahh, the joys of rural life 😉
You might have to stop a few extra days then the roads will be okayThat’s me stuffed😢Driving back from Pont Kemys on the Saturday!
If only BB . Too many other things! You might have to stop a few extra days then the roads will be okay
Thanks for the info. I will be needing to use the M5 north and south of the M4 around that time. But will definitely avoid those dates now in case the M5 is affected. The M4 will be closed in both directions between junctions 18 (Bath) to 19 (Bristol M32) from 7 pm on Friday 24 October until 6am Monday 27 October.
