M5 A30 Stop over

Hi all

I`m traveling down to St Ives at the end of May from Leeds. I normaly set off around 8pm and get to the a30 park up in a layby and sleep there for the night.

This year I will have my 1 year old daughter with me so I`m wanting to find a safer place to stop.

I`m thinking Exeter services but I have been looking and people say it can get full up and its just luck of the draw.

Are there any other good stop over places around the m5/a30 area where I can go, bearing in mind I will be arriving the early hours in the morning.

I've passed this stop many times near Okehampton at Sourton Down.

Proper truck stop, loads of parking and when I googled it, it said for caravans too.

Hi,

There is a C.L just 1 mile from junction 25 on the M5. We stopped there last year. It breaks the journey at a time when you are just getting tired. It is then an easy drive from there to St Ives. I can't remember the name but it is in the Caravan Club's sites directory.
