Surprised to find both my December C&MC and my January CCC magazines on the doormat this morning - not sure when I expect my PC copy to arrive?

Post at Christmas / New Year is always hit and miss - add to that the vagaries of strike days and it could be any time - if I were a betting man, I'd say next year!
 
Not had any yet. I know someone who works at the sorting office and it is apparently chaos. If your post is getting through you are lucky, some will probably never arrive.
 
Wow yesterday December C&MC and today January,s issue along with Pc mag! Plus 3 post Christmas cards one of which was posted locally on the 2nd December. Whole situation is mad and maddening!

Wife got a text reminder about an appointment. Problem is she had no knowledge of any appointment and had to phone to get details which department. Not good!

We are still waiting for 4 Christmas cards that have not arrived one was sent on November 28th but what did come a card do not open until Feb 2023 that our Anniversary
 
I’m going to post 2023’s next week. Considered using Lawson e cards but too many would be recipients don’t have the ability or facilities to read an e-card. So it will be good old 🐌 mail.

In February we are away to celebrate our Ruby Anniversary so the person sending the card wanted to be sure we have it. At present the postage is difficult to predict due the current situation so she wanted to be sure- In a safe place until the time.
 
Got three magazines today, not sure if they have been delivering selectively as they look to be doing parcels and letters on alternative days here. Got yet another Christmas card as well.
 
We have had all our cards from UK and overseas apart from four omissions, but they sadly will not be sending cards to anyone down here.
 
We're about 20% down on usual Christmas card numbers - don't know yet if that's the effect of the strikes, people cutting back on expense or we've upset a lot of people!

We decided NOT to send Christmas cards for the last two years, but instead give £50 each to The Salvation Army and to Crisis. And this year we have only received about 20 cards rather than the Hundred plus.

We still do Christmas cards but we also donate to British Heart Foundation and the food bank all year round .
