Mains electric into new 'van

Hi, our '07 Abbey 416 Gts now at home on our drive. I've hooked up to charge battery, but how do I know for sure its charging? On the Bailey the battery condition gauge always showed 13+ volts. The gauge on the Abbey only shows if the small rocker over the door is pressed. help anyone please?

The only real way is to use a multi meter, at the battery terminals.
Take a reading when not plugged in to the mains, this should be around 12 volts.
Then take a reading when it is plugged in, this should be < 13 volts

No increase would mean no charge.

most van meters are way out get a meter and test if its on a charger at home not van let it stand before you take a reading.
