Mains electric neon

Hello, my previous caravan had a mains power light on the fridge which gave instant awareness that the mains power was connected and working. My current caravan has no indication whatsoever that mains power is live, all lights are 12 volt, the only way to check is to switch on a plugged in appliance.
The question is: would it be difficult to rig up a neon light of some kind which will glow when mains is on?
On the previous caravan the fridge light was really useful in finding your way to the loo at night.
Thanks in anticipation.

You can buy an LED plug in light that fits a 3 pin socket - we used to have them on the landing at home when the kids were small - an example is found for £6.50 here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-NIGHT-LIGHT-Child-safety-plug-in-to-13-amp-socket-/181197069077?pt=UK_Baby_Baby_Safety_ET&hash=item2a302fdb15 - would also serve to see the way to the oo, wihtout being over bright. Hope this helps

Would one of these do ? the neon lights up when there is power..
You can see it easily when a plug is in place
