Maintenance on Alko ATC

Seeing the recent PC article on fitting ATC it struck me that to be effective may need periodic re-setting to ensure that its clearance with the van's brake mechansim is maintained. Is this info available to caravan service centers so they could carry out work as part of an annual service?

At the present time, NO.

The ONLY authorised engineers are those at Al_ko in Warwickshire, or selected engineers from Miriad.

NO other dealer or service centre is authorised to fit or work on the AlKo ATC.

Dear All,

I'm pretty sure that during the fitting, the chaps at Al-Ko said the ATC unit itself doesn't require maintaining, and that the regular adjustment of the brake shoes during an annual service is enough to keep the system working correctly. I will check that though.

ATC is a non-serviceable item and should not be opened. During an annual caravan service, the brake system should be serviced in the normal manner. Should the brake rod need to be replaced at any time, please refer to AL-KO for re-assembly instructions.

In the event of a problem with ATC, the caravan owner should contact AL-KO directly on 01926 818500.

It would be even nicer if they would respond to the problem of hubs coming adrift.
