Maxol Monte Carlo Oven

We have the above oven which is not working. Cleaned it up, took burner out as it was only working on low. This is now spotless but still not working properly. When we took it off and lite the gas we could control with high and low - why isn't is working when we replace the burner? Took over an hour to reheat a casserole on Sunday and it was still only luke warm.

I would try pulling the knobs out a little on the shaft as we had the problem once and it turned out that the knob was bottoming before the flame failure device was full operating.

A final cure was removing the knob and inserting a small nut to act as a distance piece.

Good luck !!

Yiphee, we've done it. Hubbie dismantled oven and cleaned out all the pipes the put an air compressor on the gas pipe leading from oven to bottle. All this yellow grease came out, quite a lot and now everything is back together and we are all fired up. Phew, thought we would be livinh on fish and chips every day.

Thanks for your help.
