Would have liked to have seen the electric tow bar deployment and connection of the breakaway cable. Merc have focussed on the towing capability with their 'GL' renaming line up, worth explaining the details in reviews. Also, if the car was fitted with Comand, the trailer hitching operation where the onboard camera system guides you to the hitch. Getting the towbar factory fitted is the way to go with MB, and is reasonably priced.
What size wheels / tyres did the test car have? Probably a factor in the comments around bumps. My S Klasse has 19" wheels with rubber band tyres and solo rides harder and feels bumps more than the same car on 18" wheels. Not towed with 18"'s, but would expect a 'softer' ride.
Probably biased as I lurve my Mercs and await the replacement for the S in mid March 😛
