Do you mean replacing the micro switch with a manual switch. Then no. It would work but sounds cumbersome.

It would be possible to add a pressure switch and surge regulator instead of pressure switches, perhaps that is what you mean.

Has anyone used switch method instead of replacing the tap micro switch?
Don't know of anyone who has done this.If your electrical it's a dawdle although I don't know why anyone would want to do this (except in an emergency).

I presume that you have a external pump rather than a internal pump, to install a pressure switch would be reasonably easy however if your existing setup is ok why fix it?

What has happened to make you think you need to install a different system? If we understod your problem perhaps we can suggest some alternatives.
