AdeBluetonic...
Hopefully, you will have many, many years of caravanning ahead of you👍
Unbelievable. 😀Hi Otherclive.
Nope.....still waiting☹
Over 12 weeks now.
A bit bored so totted up the mileage that has been done with our caravan for this year and it is 1122 miles. In normal times this would have easily exceeded 3000 miles as we travelled to France or Spain each year. The caravan has been in storage since September except for a 14 mile trip for its annual service. I would guess that many would have a similar mileage on their caravans for this year.

Loved the seasonal, missing it now!!
Yes Mel, the season ended at the end of October, we could have extended at further cost for winter but as we had to get the van serviced and we are seriously thinking of changing to an Island bed (we are both finding climbing over each other during the night a real pain) we decided this year to keep the lovely memories we made and look towards a longer season next year if we go down the same route. It worked for us this year BUT I do miss visiting different places, oh decisions , decisions!!Have you given up the seasonal?

The reason why we switched to an island bed many years ago.Yes Mel, the season ended at the end of October, we could have extended at further cost for winter but as we had to get the van serviced and we are seriously thinking of changing to an Island bed (we are both finding climbing over each other during the night a real pain)
And we switched this year after 3 years with a side bed.The reason why we switched to an island bed many years ago.
Its a compromise, for the reason you mention we went for the end bed, which is easier to get round, but we miss the end bathroom, the mid shower has part of the wheel arch in it which is annoying. However very glad we made the change, apart from anything else its great to have a solid door separating the lounge and bedroom areas. We have the transverse island bed and it is better then the side bed for us. The problem though is with the bed out at night the gap to the wall is very tight, so you need to see if you can live with that before buying.
