Missing the oven, grill, fryer, slow cooker, steamer, etc. for "proper" meals in our caravan.

We bought our first caravan six weeks ago, a s/h Eriba Touring, beautifully compact, so very little space in the kitchen. I has a 2 ring hob, a sink and a fridge, and that's it! Very limiting for cooking.

Well it was, until we bought a Ninja Speedi! What a game changing little machine. We can now can bake, roast, sear/sauté, air fry, steam, grill, slow cook and even dehydrate foods with it, A clever feature is "Speedi meals" where you simultaneously cook your choice of proteins, carbs and veg, etc. in two layers to cook a complete meal in as little as 15 minutes.

It is compact to store and uses a maximum of 7.33A, so good on most hook-ups, unless you need to use other high current appliances at the same time.

If we buy older caravan and plan to keep it long term, I would consider removing therford oven/cooker as they are heavy and take up lot of bench and under bench space. Replace it with 2 burner and cooker like this. For doing toasting off grid there are bread holders that go over burner, that I've used when camping.

NB we use cheap airfryer at home, great for chips, pies, chops, chicken pieces etc.

Ouch, I paid £143 direct from from Ninja last month, but I've just noticed that Ninja have boosted the price up to £250. Sorry, hope that wasn't my fault for praising it 😳

We have the Ninja Max at home and a Tower air fryer which is a Tesco special in the caravan. Makes a huge difference.

Do not leave your Tower air fryer un-attended, why you ask?
Well we had one and although it didn't actually catch fire I'm sure it would have though if I had left it any longer, one of the drawer's and internal gubbings actually melted to such a state I had to force the drawer open to retrieve the chicken breast!! We chucked the chicken and had a Chinese take away instead. Got a full refund.
That was only the 2nd time we used it, dont have an air fryer now.

We never go off grid so we enjoy using our chocolate fire guard. 🤣 🤣
