Mitsibushi Challenger

The Mitsubishi Challenger has a 2.5 engine not 2.8. The Challenger is a good tug but quite lethargic. However a Mitsubishi dealer can chip the engine to produce more power. Some Challengers came ready chipped from Mitsubishi as a special offer early last year. I believe this increases torqe by 25%. My dealer lent me a demo one for a day while my Shogun was being serviced and I would say it did about 33mpg on a 80 mile run over mixed roads.

Sorry, but the Challenger came with both the 2.5 and the 2.8 TD engines, the 2.8 not being as popular as the 2.5.

I was interested in fuel return as a freind of mine has just replaced his Pajero 2.5 with a 2.8 Challenger.
