mixer taps

i have a coachman wanderer 2005 which has mixer taps fitted.

the mixer tap has come loose for no apparent reason when i try to tighten it it just comes loose again straight away, not sure if there should be some sort of locking nut if so i can't see anything what looks like a locking nut.

any help or advice would be appreciated.

Hi Derek,

Am I correct in saying the tap is secured on the underside by a large black nut? It could just be the nut is slipping the threads

Chris

yes the tap is secured by a brass nut,i will replace the threaded bar what fits into the tap and the nut and see if that works.i wasn't sure if there should be a locking nut of sorts.

thanks for your reply

Hi i,ve got a Lunar Delta 590 1989 and last week the hot tap knob broke off on the main sink unit!! and wondered if it was easy ish to repair ,the taps have always been tight to undo and stop ....any help please more than welcome ,phone a repairer the other day but they never replyed ? (that bad?) cheers Andy

Hi Derek, same thing happened to me.

You need a 13mm long socket or 13mm open ended spanner and feel the nut under the worktop and simply tighten, gently.
