hi all,

I currently own a mk1 ford galaxy 2.8 v6 which is well past its best. However I still need a people carrier so am looking at mk2 galaxy's (Y reg) in both 2.3 and 2.8 v6 guises.

Just wondered if anyone has either and what they're like to tow with compared to the earlier models?

Thanks

Try www.fgoc.co.uk for anything galaxy related.

Mk2 2.3's have slightly more power and torque than the mk1's, as do the 2.8's. Stability will be the same.

The mk2 diesel is also a fine tow car.

Don't even think about a petrol go for the 1.9 Tdi diesel varaint. You can choose between the Ford, VW or SEAT they all have the same powertrain. You won't regret it, the diesel will give you more torque ideal for effortless towing plus much better MPG towing or solo.

If i could find a 2.8 v6 with an lpg conversion,i would have it no question.

I have the 1.9tdi 115bhp version. sure it pulls our bustner, but thats it, cars tend to be bought for more than the occassional tow.

They are all ok at towing, just upto you what else you want from a car and how much running costs effect your choice..

good luck.
