Mobile phone query?

My mobile phone discharges its battery extremely quickly and also takes an age (up to 2 hours) to recharge. Although I am happy to exchange it for a new model toh thinks that it only requires a new battery!

What would Forum members do? Buy a new one or just replace the battery --- bearing in mind that the phone is about 4 years old!

Id definately go for a newer model...

Theres a well known high street brance (named after a fruit)giving away free Nintendo ds lites with a new contracts... Am very tempted to pop along this afternoon myself, that would be 1 less crimbo prezzy to think about LOL!!!

Thanks M&M for your quick response. I am interested in the Pay & Go scheme. I don't want to be tied up in a contract of any kind. Think NEW will win in the end. Just giving hubby time to get used to the idea. He has a new phone --- never uses it but insists that I have my own and that I carry it everywhere, particularly when walking the dog.

I am currently with O2 and have a lot of phone time left on my Pay as You Go. Do you know if I have to return to 02 for a new phone or can I purchase anywhere and get my outstanding monies rediverted?

But beware newer mobiles take a smaller sim card as i found when i thought i could use my sons mobile when he leaves it laying around..

Had simular problem with our 7 year old phone ,went on line got new battery and it is perfect now

At 4 years old the battery is almost certainly on its way out.

A new battery on line will cost only a few pounds.

A new phone will cost a LOT more, and what will it actually do for you that your present one doesn't?

No my lazy little dog struggles to walk 5 miles, especially when toh is with me. She knows she can rely on a 'carry' --- not with me, however, she has 4 legs to my 2 so she has to use them.

ok some of my family work for o2,the wife in a call center and a daughter in the o2 store.sorry but you can only use the credit on your phone in a o2 phone it can not be transferred to another network

depending on how long you have had the phone and how many times that you have topped up,you may be able to get an upgrade either free or at a discount,the best bet is to phone up o2 or go into an o2 store also have a look at the o2 website.
